PM Victor Ponta: We are willing to assign the majority stake for the construction of reactors 3 and 4

 

The Government of Romania is willing to assign the majority stake for building the reactors 3 and 4 in Cernavoda, investments of billions of euros being involved, PM Victor Ponta said on Monday, after discussing with representatives of China Nuclear Electric. “I can say directly: any company, not only the Chinese company, even a European company and under the same conditions, yes, we are willing to assign the majority stake. When we request them to come up with the financing, with the construction technology, nobody comes to give the money and technology and still remain owner”, Ponta said, quoted by Agerpres. According to him, the officials of China Nuclear Electric will come this month to Bucharest and visit the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, following to hold detailed discussions with Minister for Energy Constantin Nita.
