Government Decision for the adoption of certain measures for the electricity supply safety

 Issuer: The Government of Romania

Pursuant to art. 108 of the Constitution of Romania, republished, and to art. 5 paragraph (3) of the Electricity and Natural Gas Law no. 123/2012, the Government of Romania adopts this decision.

 Article 1

Granting guaranteed access to the power grids for electricity produced by Mintia thermal power plant, belonging to S.C. Complexul Energetic Hunedoara – S.A., which shall ensure its continuous operation at an average electrical power of at least 200MW.

 Article 2

Granting guaranteed access to the power grids for electricity produced by S.C. Complexul Energetic Oltenia – S.A., which shall ensure its continuous operation at an average electrical power of at least 500MW.

 Article 3

The National Electricity Transmission Company “Transelectrica” – S.A., as transmission and system operator, has the obligation to ensure the priority dispatch of electricity produced in thermal power plants referred to in art. 1 and 2, under the conditions of regulations issued by the National Energy Regulatory Authority.

 Article 4

In order to maintain the safety level of the national power system, S.C. Complexul Energetic Hunedoara – S.A. has the obligation to provide technological system services to the transmission and system operator at an electrical power of at least 400MW, under the conditions of regulations issued by the National Energy Regulatory Authority.

Article 5

In order to maintain the safety level of the national power system, S.C. Complexul Energetic Oltenia – S.A. has the obligation to provide technological system services to the transmission and system operator at an electrical power of at least 600MW, under the conditions of regulations issued by the National Energy Regulatory Authority.

 Article 6

Measures stipulated in this decision apply during April 15^th 2013 – July 1^st 2015.
