Romanian President Traian Basescu to receive on Wednesday a delegation of ExxonMobil and OMV Petrom

President Traian Basescu will receive on Wednesday a delegation of companies ExxonMobil and OMV Petrom, the Presidential Administration announced. ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Romania Limited (EEPRL), a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, started with Petrom in December 2011 the exploration drilling at Domino 1 well, the first exploration well in the deep waters of the Romanian sector of the Black Sea. OMV Petrom and ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Romania announced two years ago a significant discovery in the Black Sea, the preliminary estimates placing the natural gas reservoir at 42-84bcm, i.e. 3-6 times Romania’s annual consumption.
