RCS&RDS sells electricity on OPCOM

A company controlled by the TV and data services operator RCS&RDS, with activities in the renewable energy sector, has put up for sale on OPCOM a package between 5,400 and 15,600MWh, according to data on the centralized market of bilateral contracts. The price at which Bucharest-based company Energiafoto SRL plans to sell the electricity is RON 200/MWh. At the maximum quantity offered, the value of the package amounts to over RON 3.1mln. Energy supply is made during May 29^th 2013 and April 30^th 2014. ANRE authorized last month RCS&RDS to become an electricity supplier. The company entered the solar power market in November 2012. RCS&RDS then bought a 90% stake in Energyall Distribution SRL and Energiafoto SRL, which develop solar energy projects worth EUR 20mln in Braila County.
