 Law no. 79/2014 for the approval of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 106/2013 on the amendment and supplementation of Petroleum Law no. 238/2004

    The Parliament of Romania adopts this law.

   Single article. – Approving the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 106 of 20 November 2013 on the amendment and supplementation of Petroleum Law no. 238/2004, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 767 of 9 December 2013, with the following amendment:

   – At the single article point 4, paragraph (1) of article 34¹ shall be amended to read as follows:

    “Art. 34¹. – (1) Upon the receipt of a request to demarcate a petroleum area and approve the partial transfer regarding a petroleum area, the competent authority shall consider the opportunity to demarcate the respective petroleum areas and communicate to applicants, within 60 days from the receipt of the transfer request, whether it is considered opportune that the petroleum areas, as they have been identified by applicants, be demarcated within the petroleum block.”

    This law was adopted by the Parliament of Romania, in compliance with the provisions of art. 75 and of art. 76 paragraph (2) of the Constitution of Romania, republished.
