KDF Energy, admitted for trading on the Carbon Trade Exchange

 

KDF Energy, an important local player on the market of transactions with emission certificates in Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, yesterday announced that it is the first energy producer in Eastern Europe admitted on the Carbon Trade Exchange (CTX) – the most important international regulated international trading platform on the voluntary market. KDF Energy thus joined hundreds of companies members of CTX from 28 countries which annually buy and sell carbon credits worth a total of approximately USD 2bn, according to a company communique. George Brailoiu, managing director of KDF Energy, stated: „Our purpose is to be leader in the trade of emission certificates in Eastern Europe, a renowned developer of projects that valorize renewable energy, an electricity supplier, energy and green certificates trader in Romania. We see the Carbon Trade Exchange as an effective way of trading for various products and financial instruments. CTX objective in terms of the new emerging markets at global level and its determination to ensure a fully electronic spot market differentiates it from other stock players”.
