Kazakhstan ready to export natural gas to Romania
Kazakhstan considers it realistic to deliver its natural gas to Romania through the South Stream gas pipeline, Ukrainian news agency ukrinform quotes Talgat Kaliyev, Kazakhstan’s chargé d’affaires in Romania, as saying in Bucharest.
“The geostrategic location of Romania, as well as its membership in the EU, is the key factor in Kazakhstan’s strategy aimed at expanding and consolidating its position in the European energy market,” Kaliyev said. “In this connection the Kazakh Government’s proposal to supply natural gas to Romania through the South Stream gas pipeline is quite realistic.”
