GDF Suez Energy increased by RON 150mln the capital of a subsidiary developing a wind park

 

GDF SUEZ Energy Romania, part of the French group GDF SUEZ, increased by RON 150mln (EUR 34mln), to RON 154mln, the share capital of the wind parks developer Alizeu Eolian, based in Buzau, which it bought last year. The natural gas distribution operator bought Alizeu Eolian in order to develop a wind farm with a capacity of 50MW in the commune of Baleni, Galati County, investment estimated at EUR 90mln. GDF SUEZ Energy Romania (former Distrigaz Sud), with gas and electricity distribution and supply activities, has 1.3mln customers in Bucharest and 18 counties. The company last year recorded a net profit of RON 354.75mln (EUR 79.6mln), climbing 51.4%, and a turnover higher by 4.8%, of RON 4.04bn (EUR 907.2mln).
