Energreen to invest EUR 30mln in a solar park in Hoghiz

Global investment holding Energreen Investment Europe has acquired a solar park of 17MW in the commune of Hoghiz, Brasov County, from Vis Solaris 2011. The sale of the park, which covers an area of 30 hectares, was assisted by the Romanian office of the law firm Schoenherr, which announced the transaction. “Although negotiations were carried out amid discussions related to the controversial initiative of the Government to change the support scheme for renewable energy, which added additional pressure, the entire process has been carried out in a blistering pace, as to be able to start as soon as possible the actual implementation of the project”, Partner Monica Cojocaru, coordinator of Schoenherr team in Bucharest, stated. According to Cornel Rahaian, one of the businessmen who own the company and was responsible for obtaining the necessary permits, the transaction value is around EUR 2.5mln.
