Bulgaria to join 4M market coupling by mid-2017 – TSO

The Bulgarian day-ahead electricity market could couple with its Romanian neighbour by the middle of 2017, but some technical problems need to be solved first, according to the Bulgarian transmission system operator ESO. Bulgaria launched its long overdue day-ahead power exchange IBEX on 19 January (see EDEM 19 January 2016).
