Romania’s gas distribution and transmission tariffs, increased with the inflation rate

Romania’s ANRE (the energy market regulator) granted to distribution operators and to the national operator of the natural gas transmission system, Transgaz SA, an increase in regulated tariffs, on average, with the inflation rate. Nicolae Havrilet, ANRE President, stated: “The new tariffs valid as of July 1^st were published in the Official Gazette, for each operator and for each category of consumption. The transmission operator and distributors received an increase in tariffs from July 1^st on average with the inflation rate. As you know, the gas invoice will increase by 8% for regulated consumers. About 3% of this percentage reflects increases granted to the transmission operator and to distributors”.
