Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC) ended Q1/2013 with a turnover down 19% against 2012

Rompetrol Rafinare, of the Rompetrol Group, ended the first quarter with a consolidated gross turnover of USD 884.3mln, down 19% compared with the level of UD 1.09bn reported for the similar interval of 2012. The company reduced its losses in the analyzed period by 2.4 times, from USD 62.7mln in the first three months 2012 to USD 25.1mln. Also, the EBITDA shows losses of approximately USD 120,000, compared with the negative result of USD 11.6mln in Q1/2012. The company’s fuel sales dropped 24%, to approximately 500,000 tons, half of the amount being delivered to export. The company paid in the first three months of the year taxes of USD 235.4mln to the state budget.
