Romgaz participates in OPCOM’s DAM

Romgaz Medias joined as of May 13^th the Day Ahead Market (DAM), a component of the wholesale electricity market on which firm hourly transactions are performed with electricity with delivery in the following day of the trading day. The Day Ahead Market is managed by the operator of the electricity market in Romania, OPCOM. According to results of the Trading Platform for 13.05.2013, the electricity volume traded by Romgaz is 327.41MWh, at hourly prices ranging between RON 188 and 270/MWh. Romgaz has also concluded a bilateral contract for electricity supply with the company Electrica Furnizare SA, for continuous electricity with a delivery period from May 1^st 2013 to December 31^st 2013. As of this year, Romgaz extended its activity area by taking over the thermal power plant in Iernut, with an installed power of 800MWh.
