OMV Petrom launches Fuel Tracking service for monitoring wholesale oil products deliveries

The delivery monitoring service is the first of its kind available on the fuel market in Romania and it is dedicated to OMV Petrom commercial clients

OMV Petrom, the largest oil and gas producer in Southeastern Europe, announces the launch of the Fuel Tracking service, which allows its commercial clients to be informed about each step of the delivery process, from placing the order, to the product being delivered at the desired destination. “Commercial clients represent an important segment for petroleum products sales, together with the retail distribution channel, consisting of filling stations operated under the OMV and Petrom brands. Our portfolio of clients includes companies from sectors such as transportation, agriculture and construction, which have their own reservoirs and order wholesale oil products from us, distributed by tanks. Every month, around 4,500 orders are delivered to commercial clients, and we take pride in the fact that nearly 100% of our deliveries are made at our clients’ preferred date. By launching the Fuel Tracking service, we achieve one of the most transparent delivery processes on the wholesale fuel market in Romania,” says Narcis Popescu – Wholesale Manager, Eastern Europe. OMV Petrom commercial clients already have access to a dedicated business portal. It is available 24/7 and provides access to commercial information (contracted quantities and prices, visualising and downloading invoices) as well as the possibility to order online, at any time of the day. The commercial clients of OMV Petrom benefit from transparency and flexibility during each step of the delivery process: the order can be placed through the business portal or e-mail. Whichever option the client chooses, an order confirmation is sent via e-mail. Subsequently, when the oil product is loaded in tanks in any of the OMV Petrom terminals, the client is alerted via e-mail regarding the estimated time of delivery. At the moment of the delivery, the delivery notice is received, followed by the last step, when the invoice is issued, which is immediately sent through the business portal or through e-mail.
