Hidroelectrica posted a gross profit of almost RON 48mln in February 2013

 

Hidroelectrica achieved in November 2012-February 2013 a gross profit of RON 181.5mln (EUR 41.7mln) and a preliminary gross profit of RON 47.9mln in February 2013 (EUR 11mln), according to a communique submitted by the company on Thursday. Energy production was 990GWh in February, below the multiannual average of the month, of 1.191GWh. Hidroelectrica posted a constant decline in the negative cash flows, from RON 781mln on June 20th 2012 to RON 611mln on December 31st 2012 and RON 417mln on February 28th 2013. The company’s revenues and expenditures budget for 2013 estimates a gross profit of RON 434mln, with an estimate for production of only 13TWh, a record profit in relation to the best financial result posted in 2010, when it reported a profit of RON 284mln at a production of 20TWh.
