Enel Romania’s revenues increased by 6.5% last year and exceeded EUR 1bn

 

Enel Romania last year recorded revenues of EUR 1.032bn, up 6.5% against the level of EUR 969mln reported in 2011, and an EBITDA of EUR 231mln, climbing 12.6%. “The increase in revenues is associated with price hike”, the company’s managing director, Luca D’Agnese, stated in a press conference. In 2011 the company registered a profit before taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of EUR 205mln. According to a presentation of the company, last year the operating costs fell 12% against 2011. The communique shows that during 2013 – 2017 Enel Romania will invest EUR 542mln in the energy distribution network, in services provided to end-clients and in aligning the operations in Romania with Enel’s environmental standards. The company is part of the Italian utility group Enel and is present on the Romanian energy market since 2005.
