Environment Minister Rovana Plumb – Investments in renewable energy must continue

Investments in renewable energy must continue in Romania, but they should take into account both economic competitiveness and an affordable price for consumers, Minister of Environment and Climate Change Rovana Plumb stated on Tuesday at a specialized conference.  “In terms of energy obtained from renewable resources, with the Green Card, the situation of the Member States has also been presented. At this time, Romania has a renewable mix in total energy of 23.6%, and the target is 24%. My opinion is that investments in renewable energy must continue, but we should consider both competitiveness in the economic area and the cost paid by citizens”, the minister stated.
