ArcelorMittal Galati: It’s necessary to postpone the liberalization of gas prices

 

The management of ArcelorMittal Galati steel mill, one of the largest energy consumers in Romania, believes that the liberalization of natural gas prices should be postponed, to avoid a “major impact” on industrial consumers. “ArcelorMittal Galati has stressed the need to postpone the liberalization of gas tariffs to avoid a major impact on Romania’s industrial consumers”, a communique of the company reads. The Galati-based steel mill is one of the largest energy consumers in Romania. The company is part of the ArcelorMittal group, controlled by India’s billionaire Lakshmi Mittal.
