Romanian Senators have passed the bill for the ratification of Nabucco project support agreement

Senators adopted on Monday, with 141 votes and 4 abstentions, the bill for the ratification of the Project Support Agreement between Romania and Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH and Nabucco Gas Pipeline Romania – S.R.L., regarding Nabucco pipeline system. According to the draft law, the Project Support Agreement is concluded to apply Nabucco Agreement, between a partner state and Nabucco International Company and Nabucco National Company. At the same time, the agreement includes provisions on the state’s obligations to cooperate with Nabucco International Company and Nabucco National Company in the process implementation process, as well as provisions regarding third party access and exemptions from the European Directive on Natural Gas no. 55/2003, environmental protection, technical standards, contractual liability, settling disputes, applicable law.
