The U.S. oil equipment company Lufkin is ready to open the EUR 130mln plant in Prahova County

The U.S. company Lufkin Industries, one of the leading manufacturers of oil equipment, will inaugurate in the middle of this month the plant in Aricestii Rahtivani – Prahova County, investment worth EUR 130mln. About 300 employees will work in the future production facility and it will mainly produce oil equipment. The U.S. supplier of equipment and services for the oil and gas industry, Lufkin Industries, started the plant construction in 2010. The unit will be located on a land of 33 hectares within the Ploiesti West Park industrial park, for which the Americans are estimated to have paid around EUR 7mln, even if the amount of the transaction hasn’t been made public.
