The two reactors in Cernavoda produced over 6.56mln MWh in the first 7 months of 2015

 

The two units of Cernavoda nuclear power plant produced, in the first seven months of 2015, an amount of electricity of 6.566 million MWh, of which 6.043mln MWh were supplied in the National Power System, according to data published on Nuclearelectrica’s website. Unit 1 produced, in the mentioned period, 3.458 million MWh and supplied 3.176 million MWh, recording an average capacity factor of 96.26%, while Unit 2 produced 3.108 million MWh and supplied 2.867 million MWh, having an average capacity factor of 87.57%. In July 2015, the two units in Cernavoda produced 1.010 million MWh. Unit 1 recorded a capacity factor of 95.64% and Unit 2 – 97.22%. Last year, the two units in Cernavoda produced an amount of electricity of 11.675 million MWh and supplied in the National Power System 10.753 million MWh. From commissioning and until the end of July 2014, the two units of the nuclear power plant produced an amount of electricity of 149.11 million MWh and supplied in the system 137.48 million MWh.
