The Proprietatea Fund analyzes options for possible cut in its OMV Petrom interests

 

The Proprietatea Fund (BSE: FP) continues to analyze strategic options for a possible cut in its interests held in OMV Petrom, also through a public offering of shares and Global Depositary Receipts, with the latter ones to be listed on the London Stock Exchange, according to a FP report.

According to the report, any such transaction is conditioned by the existence of a favorable market context, as well as by the necessary approvals.

The Fund informs that it currently holds a 19pct stake in OMV Petrom and tends to increase the liquidity of transactions with OMV Petrom shares, remaining dedicated to the successful development of this company as its long-term shareholder.

In turn, OMV Petrom announced on Wednesday it would convene an extraordinary general meeting on September 22 to approve the secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange.
