The cogeneration tax to be eliminated for electricity exports

 

The cogeneration tax for electricity exports will be eliminated and the reference price for the free market for the industrial consumers will be that from January 2014, gas prices for household consumers following to increase by 2%, PM Victor Ponta stated in the Parliament. He appreciated that the elimination of the cogeneration tax would encourage electricity exports on the regional market, and keeping the reference gas price in the industry at the level from January 1st 2014 would encourage competitiveness. The Prime Minister said these measures would be approved on Wednesday by the Government.
