Suceava to sell land to Adrem Invest for a thermal power plant

 

Suceava Local Council will sell to Adrem Invest an area of 5 hectares of land that has been leased for the construction of the new thermal power plant of the city, because the condition requested by the financing bank in order to approve the loan is that the company is owner of the land. Suceava Mayor Ion Lungu announced on Wednesday in a press conference that he would convene for next week an extraordinary meeting of the Local Council for the approval to sell a land plot with an area of 5 hectares to Adrem Invest, which has leased the land to build the new power plant, investment of over EUR 80mln, Mediafax reported. He showed that Austria’s Raiffeisen Bank, which finances the investment, asked Adrem Invest, in order to grant the EUR 62mln loan, to be owner of the land on which the plant would be built.
