Small renewable energy producers to receive subsidies between EUR 69 and EUR 167/MWh, instead of green certificates

Electricity producers from renewable sources that own power plants with an installed power of up to 1MW will receive subsidies in the form of regulated tariffs for which the electricity will be guaranteed to be taken over into the system and which will range between EUR 69.4 and EUR 167/MWh, official sources in the energy sector stated for Agerpres.

The small producers will receive these fixed tariffs, known as “feed-in tariffs”, instead of green certificates, which represent subsidies for renewable energy producers with capacities higher than 1MW. These tariffs are set depending on the technology used.
