Transgaz profits exceed expectations: RON 329.3mln

Romanian gas transmission operator Transgaz Medias announced a net profit of RON 329.3mln (EUR 73.9mln) for 2012, up 17% against the profit of RON 281mln (EUR 63mln) published two weeks ago, when the company presented the preliminary financial results posted in 2012 and prepared according to the International Financial Reporting Standards. The gain of RON 329.2mln announced on Friday is 14% below the gain achieved in 2011, of RON 384.3mln. The board of directors of the company proposes the shareholders dividends of RON 250.6mln (EUR 57.5mln), down 28% against the amount distributed to shareholders last year.
