Transgaz Medias 9-month profit decreased by 37%

National gas transmission operator Transgaz (BSE: TGN) recorded, in the first nine months of the year, a net profit of RON 159.4mln, down 37% compared to the same period last year, when the company posted a net profit of RON 254.2mln, according to a company report. Total revenues for the first three quarters of 2013 stood at RON 1,070mln, down 5% compared to the same period of 2012. From these revenues, RON 1,054mln is represented by operating incomes and the remaining of RON 15.3mln are financial incomes, the same report shows. According to Transgaz, the increase in revenues was mainly due to a higher tariff for capacity reservation from the similar period of the previous year.
