Chevron: Romania can become energetically independent by exploiting shale gas

Chevron officials believe that Romania can obtain energy independence with the beginning of shale gas exploitation, if the U.S. giant finds enough gas resources in the two areas in the country where they have planned to perform extraction drilling. Attending on Wednesday a new public debate in Vaslui, Chevron Romania representatives presented part of the company’s future strategy in terms of shale gas exploration and exploitation in Romania.
