Transelectrica Bucharest and Transgaz Medias, officially transferred to the Ministry of Finance

The Government yesterday approved the draft ordinance on transferring Transelectrica (BSE: TEL) and Transgaz (BSE: TGN), the national electricity and gas transporters, from the Ministry of Economy to the Ministry of Finance, official sources stated. Bursa newspaper exclusively published on January 11^th the information about the transfer of the national electricity and gas transporters. In the substantiation note of the regulatory document, the authorities show that, under Directive 2000/72/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council from July 13^th 2009 on the common rules for the internal electricity market it was regulated the obligation to actually separate the production or supply activities from the transmission and system activities.
