Enel Green Power has borrowed EUR 200mln from EIB for wind parks in Romania

 

Enel Green Power International BV, part of the Italian group Enel, has received a loan of EUR 200mln from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to partially finance investments in wind energy in Romania. “The operation follows to financing agreements worth EUR 600mln in the past three years and is a proof of confidence from EIB in Enel Green Power investments in the sector”, a company communique reads. The loan is granted for 15 years. Enel Green Power owns in Romania wind power plants with a total installed power of almost 500MW and photovoltaic power plants of 26MW. Enel Group is present in Romania since 2005 and activates in the electricity production, distribution and supply sectors.
