Remus Borza: “Romania is not competitive in the EU in terms of energy export

Romania is not competitive in terms of energy export in the European Union (EU), the only country where export could be profitable being Turkey, but there is no direct connection to this country, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hidroelectrica Remus Borza stated. According to him, Romania currently has a huge surplus of electricity, of 12TWh, caused by large renewable energy production and decreased consumption in the industrial segment. In comparison, the national production is around 50-55TWh, Agerpres informs.
