Rompetrol starts exploration drilling at Romania’s Zegujani block

 

Romania’s Rompetrol Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s state oil and gas producer, KazMunaiGaz, has started exploration drilling at the Zegujani block in Romania’s southwest, the Kazakh company said Monday. The Lupsa-SAT 1 well is to be drilled to a depth of 4.2 km, the statement said, adding that Rompetrol plans to invest over $10 million in the project up to the end of the year.
