Over 12% of household electricity consumers in Romania pay social tariffs

 

Over 12% of household electricity consumers pay social tariffs, respectively 1.049 million users, according to the report for the second quarter of 2014 on the electricity market prepared by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE). In total, there are 8.868 million consumption places (consumers) in the electricity market where regulated tariffs have been paid. Of them, 351,968 consumers are non-household and 8.516 million are household consumers. According to ANRE report, a number of 1.049 million households pay social tariffs, accounting for 12.32% of total households. Compared to data at the end of the first quarter this year, ANRE representatives notice a decrease in the share of non-household customers in total end-customers of last resort suppliers (suppliers that supply energy at a regulated price).
