Cartel AFLA, about liberalization: The Government’s policy must be one in compliance with the interests of Romania and its citizens

The National Trade Union Confederation “Cartel ALFA” says that the liberalization of gas and energy prices, as it has been imposed to the Government by the International Monetary Fund, is likely to bring huge damage to the national economy and determine the loss of jobs, but also an avalanche of price hikes and draws the Executive’s attention that its policy must be in line with the interests of Romania and its citizens. “Requirements of the IMF and of the European financial institutions must be accepted only if they really serve the interests of the national economy. Otherwise, Romania will become very quickly a country of poor consumers, without industry”, Cartel ALFA said in a press release.
